Russell Smith is an associate in the firm's Private Client group and focuses on Fiduciary Litigation. Russell's practice has included all aspects of domestic relations and probate matters, including divorce, custody, paternity, adoption, guardianship, will contests, actions to remove personal representatives and trustees, and complaints in equity.

Prior to entering private practice, Russell served for two years as a law clerk to Probate and Family Court judges in western and eastern counties of the Commonwealth. During that time, he worked closely with the judiciary on a variety of complex cases; experience that informs Russell’s approach to advocacy.

Russell enjoys putting his experience and skills to use by helping clients navigate circumstances where their deepest personal relationships, and the interests that flow from them, become entangled with the law.

Russell is a past President of the Boston College Law School Veterans’ Association. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marines as a Sergeant.
