Laura’s practice concentrates on resolving complex business disputes. She advocates for her clients—which range from Fortune 500 entities to individuals—in pre-litigation, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution forums. Laura’s goal is to achieve the best result for her client at the earliest point possible.
Laura’s broad experience spans the automotive, consumer products, entertainment, food/beverage, and finance industries. She helps her business clients resolve contract, business tort, IP, and securities claims. Laura’s practice also focuses on real estate disputes, including representing condominium associations, unit owners, and property managers. She also has experience with parallel criminal and civil disputes, as well as with internal investigations.
Laura has appeared in state, federal, and multi-district litigation, with experience at both the trial and appellate levels. Her pre-trial litigation experience includes pre-suit investigations, written discovery, expert discovery, depositions, and dispositive pre-trial motions. She has taken and defended individual and company designee depositions. Laura has experience at bench and jury trials, including with opening statements and witness examination.
Outside of the courtroom, Laura handles cases in alternative dispute forums, such as arbitration and mediation.
Prior to joining Burns & Levinson in 2014, Laura was a litigation associate at Winston & Strawn in Chicago, IL.J.D., summa cum laude and Order of the Coif, DePaul University College of Law
