Press Release

Twenty-One Burns & Levinson Attorneys Selected for Inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2015

August 18, 2014

21 attorneys from Burns & Levinson have been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2015. Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. For 2015, Best Lawyers has named one Burns & Levinson attorney “Lawyer of the Year” in their field: Joseph M. Maraia for Copyright Law in Massachusetts. Only a single lawyer in each practice area in each jurisdiction is honored as the “Lawyer of the Year.” In addition, Sean O. Coffey, Laura R. Studen and David P. Rosenblatt are part of a distinguished group of attorneys who have been listed in Best Lawyers for ten or more years. We congratulate each of the Burns & Levinson attorneys listed in the 2015 Best Lawyers in America: Brian D. Bixby, Laura L. Carroll, Cornelius (Con) J. Chapman, Sean O. Coffey, Clifford R. Cohen, Jerry Cohen, Lisa M. Cukier, Steven C. Goodwin, Lawrence G. Green, Evelyn A. Haralampu, Dennis J. Kelly, Joseph M. Maraia, Dr. Ronda P. Moore, David P. Rosenblatt, Paul M. Sanford, Mark Schonfeld, Laura R. Studen, George N. Tobia, Jr., Donald E. Vaughan, Josef B. Volman, and Ellen J. Zucker. Since it was first published in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which over 52,000 leading attorneys cast more than 5.5 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas. Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed; therefore inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
