Burns & Levinson Adds Six Attorneys and a Patent Agent to Firm’s Roster

Boston, MA, Oct. 29, 2021 – Burns & Levinson has added six lateral attorneys – Victoria Calcagno, Samuel Delong, Maria Katherine (Kat) Delos Reyes, Charles Hunsinger, Sean Salimi, and Michael Stack – to its team. Gabriel Hendricks, Ph.D. has also joined the firm as a patent agent. Victoria Calcagno is an associate in the Private Client Group, where she focuses her practice on trusts and estates. Before joining the firm, Calcagno was a law clerk for Chief Justice Kimberly Budd at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from New England Law, and her B.A., cum laude, from University of Massachusetts. Sam DeLong is an associate in the Corporate Group, working primarily on tax matters. He joined the firm from a large public accounting firm where he was focused on M&A tax. He earned his J.D., cum laude, and his LL.M., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and his B.A. from Norwich University, summa cum laude. Maria Katherine (Kat) Delos Reyes is an associate in the Intellectual Property Group, where she focuses her practice on copyright, trademark and data privacy matters. She joined the firm from Boston Children’s Hospital, where she helped doctors and researchers collaborate with industry partners and academic medical centers on clinical trials. She earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law with concentrations in intellectual property & innovation and data privacy and her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Riverside. Charles Hunsinger is an associate in the firm’s Private Client Group, where he focuses his practice on fiduciary litigation and divorce and family matters. Prior to joining the firm, he was a law clerk for Associate Justice Vickie L. Henry of the Massachusetts Appeals Court from 2020-2021 and for the Probate and Family Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 2018-2020. He received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and his B.A. from Hamilton College. Sean Salimi is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, where he focuses on patent preparation and prosecution. He is also a registered patent agent. He received his J.D. from University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, his B.S. in computer science from the University of Maryland Global Campus and his B.A. in biology from Villanova University. Michael Stack is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Group, where he will focus primarily on mergers and acquisitions. Before going to law school, Stack worked in the financial services industry with roles at Goldman Sachs and Arrowstreet Capital. He received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and his B.S., cum laude, in business administration from Northeastern University. Gabriel Hendricks, Ph.D. is a U.S. patent agent in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, where he will continue to focus on patent prosecution in the fields of biotechnology including cancer biology and therapeutics, immunology, small molecule therapeutics, and research tools. He joined the firm from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where he managed all aspects of WHOI’s patent portfolio across various technologies. He received his Ph.D. in biomedical research from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and his B.A. in biology from Oberlin College.
